Beaches
The Algarve beaches are some
of the most beautiful in Portugal. There is an
array of beaches, certain to suit every mood
or occasion.
In the western Algarve you will all types of
beach - from the long stretch of the Meia Praia to
the smaller, hidden beaches found off the beaten
track, like Praia de Dona Ana and Praia do Camilo.
Right on the doorstep of Parque da Floresta is
the sandy beach of Salema and the numerous
coves close by. Overlooked by quaint little
restaurants and bars, Salema beach is an idyllic
haven for those who come to surf, sail, fish and
swim in one of the most favourable climates in
Europe.
Along the west coast, the beaches are dramatic
many of them covering acres of nearly deserted
sand, backed by dunes or cliffs looking out over
the lines of surf cascading in one the wildly
beautiful shore. |
